Grooming Questions, Answered

How much does dog grooming cost in Winnipeg at Barks N Purrs?

Full grooms start at $80 for tiny dogs (under 10 lbs) and range up to $175+ for giant breeds. Poodle and doodle grooms start at $90. Deshed treatments start at $65. Nail trims are $20. Final price depends on weight, coat condition and behaviour, and is always confirmed before we begin.

Do you groom cats?

Yes — cat nail trims ($20), bath & dry, full grooms and deshed treatments. Cat grooming is quoted once we learn about your cat's coat and temperament.

How does booking work?

Fill out the form above, see your starting price instantly, and we text you back with available times. Nothing is confirmed until you hear from us — so no surprise appointments. Prefer to talk? Call (204) 219-1928.

Do you groom on Sundays?

Grooming appointments run Monday through Saturday. The store is open Sunday 11am–5pm for food, supplements and supplies.

Do you groom anxious, nervous or first-time dogs?

Yes, and it's something we're set up for. We're appointment-only, so your dog isn't waiting on a busy kennel floor surrounded by barking. Our groomers are patient with nervous dogs, puppies and first-timers. Tell us your dog's temperament when booking so we can allow extra time.

Do you groom senior dogs?

Yes. Senior grooming takes a different skill set — arthritis, poor eyesight, lumps and bumps, and less patience for standing. We work at the dog's pace, keep sessions short where we can, and will always talk to you first about what's realistic for an older dog's coat.

Do you groom doodles and poodles?

Absolutely. Shave-down grooms from $90 and scissor or breed-pattern grooms (teddy bear, puppy cut) from $95 for poodles, goldendoodles, labradoodles, bernedoodles and other oodle mixes.
